 Alpharetta, Georgia is an exciting destination for visitors and residents alike with major company headquarters, stunning neighborhoods, and an eclectic downtown scene. Visitors and residents alike are sure to be delighted by this vibrant southern community! Alpharetta, Georgia is known as the South's technology hub and attracts major corporations and their employees. But this city also provides a range of activities suitable for all ages - perfecting itself as the South's go-to vacation spot!

Parks

Alpharetta Georgia boasts over 25 parks covering 775 acres, providing residents and visitors alike with a range of amenities. The city's active, passive, community, and pocket parks include walking trails, playgrounds, sports fields, arboretums, and more for everyone to enjoy. Wills Park, Alpharetta's largest public park, features sports fields, a stunning lake, and an equestrian center as well as trails for running, biking, hiking, and horseback riding. Additionally, The Wills Park Greenway runs along Big Creek for miles of the picturesque pathway that attracts hikers and bikers of all ages. Cogburn Road Park is a local favorite with a 0.2-mile paved walking trail, arboretum, Little Free Library, picnic shelters, and art installations. Plus, there are plenty of grassy areas where kids can run around or play soccer or toss a ball.

Brooke Street Park is another fantastic local option, offering a tranquil space to spend the day with friends and family. This park features a fountain, a gazebo for intimate concerts, as well as a historic marker. In addition to its abundance of parks and open spaces, Alpharetta also hosts several annual events that should not be missed. ShamRockin' for a Cure (March) and Alpharetta Food Truck Alley (April-October) are two highly sought-after events - so make sure to mark your calendars now! Home by Dark is an outdoor concert series held annually on the East Lawn behind City Hall that invites everyone to bring a blanket, lawn chairs and snacks for an enjoyable evening of music that is suitable for families with kids of all ages. Just bring yourself some refreshments as well!

Finally, don't miss the many museums located in Alpharetta! The Alpharetta Museum of History is an excellent way to learn about the past while viewing an extensive collection of artifacts. Alpharetta boasts many wonderful restaurants, many of which are family-friendly. One of our favorites is Bagel Boys Cafe with two locations serving breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, and lunch items like the "Bagel Melt" or "Cashew Chicken Salad Ciabatta."

Alpharetta boasts a wide variety of shopping opportunities for residents and visitors alike. From North Point Mall and Avalon to Downtown Alpharetta, there are endless outlets offering everything from boutique finds to unique upscale resellers of outdoor clothing and gear. For those searching for an outlet shopping experience, the Outlet Shops of Georgia is just a short drive away. This collection of 140 stores offers name-brand merchandise at deeply discounted prices. If you're in Alpharetta for foodie needs, there are plenty of delicious restaurants that will fulfill all of your appetites. Start the day off right with a Bagel Melt with egg and cheese from Bagel Boys Cafe for breakfast or treat yourself to their Chicken Salad Ciabatta for lunch. You must check out Smokejack BBQ for some truly mouth-watering Smokey barbecue. They serve up succulent beef, brisket, and pork dishes as well as their signature Brunswick Stew which should not be missed during fall or wintertime.

For something sweet, Crave Pie Studio offers fresh-baked pies made with only premium ingredients. Choose from classic flavors like Maple Bacon or Lemon Chess or create your own custom creation! Alpharetta offers a wealth of exciting activities throughout the year, such as festivals and events suitable for all ages. One of my favorites is ShamRockin' for a Cure - enjoy some great music while raising funds to support Cystic Fibrosis research. One must-visit is the Old Milton County History Museum, a great addition to the community that tells stories from history through artifacts and interpretive displays. Open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., this museum cannot be missed! For a fun-filled shopping day in Alpharetta, North Point Mall is your go-to destination. Boasting over 100 stores such as Macy's, Sears, Target, Dillard's and JCPenney, there's something for everyone at this mall - including its iconic carousel hidden behind a floor-to-ceiling window in the food court! Not only that but it's free to visit!

Dining

Living in Alpharetta, Georgia provides you with a plethora of fantastic dining options. From classic Southern fare to international fare, there is something for everyone when it comes to this city's dining scene. Are you in Alpharetta looking for a delicious meal or an exciting place to watch the game? Alpharetta has got it all!
